20L6, We Are Saying Our Goodbyes

Heyy y'all welcome back to my blog post, I know it has been a while since I have written a new post but I couldn't go into 2017 without reflecting back on 2016.

Where do I start, 20L6 many of you will be wondering why do I keep saying 20L6, well let me explain. This year has been full of Loses in the sense that many things have happened which has set me back on my academics and with my walk, with Christ, I will say.

There have been many moments where I have felt down and so overwhelmed with everything, academically, financially and spiritually. But you know what if I didn't experience these things I won't know what to do better in 2017. There have been moments where I have learnt lessons, made mistakes and setbacks but do you know what kept me going? God, yes God every day I wake up and ask God to give me strength to conquer my day, without this prayer every morning I doubt I would make it throughout my day let alone the whole week.

This is why it is important that from when you get up in the morning you just say a quick prayer thank you God for allowing you to see another day, may your provide me with the strength I need to get through the day and May my day be productive. Start the day with a positive mindset and some gospel music, trust me it's worth it, you will feel so much better and you will be able to complete many things.

I have learnt many lessons in 20L6,

1. I have learnt to never compare myself to others, strive for your own story, stop trying to be like someone else. God created us to be different if we were, all the same, the world will be boring don't you think?

2. Your journey with Christ is your own personal journey, don't feel like you are less spiritual compared to others, just because they are at different stages in their relationship with Christ. FOCUS ON YOURSELF!

3. Prayer is key like literally prayer is key! Any issues you battle with it, bring it to God, he is the only one that can guide you and help you overcome that hurdle or obstacle. Man can't do that. 2 Chronicles 7:14/Ephesians 6:18/ Mark 11:24

4. TRUST! Trust is another key I have learnt in 2016. I doubted the power that God had, and I am so glad I was able to overcome that. I was faced with so many obstacles that were affecting me and made me doubt God constantly. This allowed me to learn that God is in control. God has already written a book about our lives and day by day we are bringing that book to life. Each chapter contains every blessing and all the struggles we will face, but it is TRUST that will keep us going. It is so vital to trust God because he is the only one that will lead you to the path of success. Proverbs 3:5-6

5. Not everyone that smiles in your face wants the best for you! We call many people our friends, our day 1, our ride or die but do they mean well for you? You need to ask yourself that question at least once in a while. Not everyone that is in your circle wants you to be successful, you have to identify who means well for you and who wants to be up to date with the latest gossip.

6. Patience, it is so important, you can’t rush your journey, you have to learn patience, your time will come, if it’s God will he will make it happen, don’t try and rush things when they have not been planned by God. Don’t be quick to anger when you face certain complications because your anger could lead you into sin. Ecclesiastes 7:9/ Ephesians 4:26-27/ James 1:19-20/ Proverbs 19:11/Romans 8:24-30/ Psalms 75:2

2016 has been an interesting year, it has had its up and downs but I am grateful that God has guided me and protected me throughout the whole year and I am able to sit here and reflect on the year. I have learnt a lot of lessons, I have come across mistakes and I have had set backs but with God’s strength and perseverance I was able to overcome and for that I am grateful.

Moving forward, I am looking forward to 2017 and the plans God has in store for me, the theme or motto for 2017 for me is Speaking into Existence the scripture that goes with it is Isaiah 55:11 “ So is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Amen

All the success, happiness and goals I want in my life I shall speak it into existence, you don’t have to share it with anyone, but if you want to you could but don’t be quick to tell everyone what your goals are before they pray against it! Take your goals and aims to God, meditate on those goals and constantly pray about them, watch God manifest those goals IJN

2017 is the year I shall speak all things positive.

2017 is the year we remove all negative thoughts and words from our dictionary and all we shall speak on is positivity.

2017, whatever I speak shall come into existence through Christ who strengthens me.

2017 is the year we save SOULS!

2017 is the year we bring people closer to God.

Finally, i pray that you are all blessed by this message and that you are able to reflect on the year and be thankful for how far God has brought you. Continue to be the beautiful people of God and continue to have a positive impact on people’s lives. Happy New Year my lovelies.
